Pre-season make-over at the Old Armoury!

The Old Armoury Spruce-up

There are a couple of small projects underway at The Old Armoury that we need your assistance with in preparation for our fall season:

Wednesday August 10th and Thursday August 11th…..6pm to 8pm
- Some yard clean-up that will take 3-4 people with a wheelbarrow or two to remove some debris from the rear of the building
- Costumes and props room clean-up/reorganizing that requires a few people (we have new costume racks that will make for better access!)

June 25-26, 2016: Globe's Annual Garage Sale

Have you got “stuff” around your house that you want to get rid of? If so, Globe Productions will be holding a giant fundraising Garage Sale All proceeds will go towards the continued renovation work on The Old Armoury! We will be available to receive your donations of “stuff” at The Old Armoury on Saturdays: June 04 and 18 between 12noon and 3pm. 

AGM Nominations update - looking for Publicity Chair

Globe Productions' Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday June 6th, 7:00 pm at The Old Armoury. We have a slate of Officers willing to stand for election/ re-election at the AGM on June 6th. So don’t stay home because you don’t want to do a job! ALL POSITIONS ARE OPEN and we will take nominations from the floor. One position that is unfilled is Publicity Chair.

Globe is looking for Summer Camp volunteers

Georgetown Globe Productions is seeking energetic, team players with exceptional musical theatre skills to provide a dynamic camp experience for our junior members at the Old Armoury in Georgetown, Ontario. Volunteer Period: July 4 to 15 (Mon-Friday), 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (35 hours/week) including possible evening requirement for a performance.

May 16, 2016, 8pm: Information Night "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying"

Mad Men meets musical comedy in this slick, sexy and witty take on corporate culture in the 1960’s. One of only 9 musicals to win the Pulitzer Prize!! Saucy secretaries take on conniving businessmen in a battle of wits with great music and fantastic production numbers.

How to Succeed requires a strong group of principal performers and a large male and female ensemble of singers and/or dancers. Lots of opportunity to be featured in this chorus-busy show!

Globe Productions’ Old Armoury Transforms into a Theatre

In preparation for Globe’s June presentation of Wonderfully Wicked – a Cabaret of Broadway Villains, this week a small but determined team successfully installed theatrical lighting and sound equipment into Globe Productions’ home - The Old Armoury, at the Georgetown Fairgrounds.
