Charity Book Sale - November 28, 2015, at the Armoury

The Fraser Direct Charity Booksale is back on Saturday, November 28, 2015, from 8am to 3:30pm! After several years away, Georgetown’s Fraser Direct is once again offering brand new hardcover and paperback books at dirt cheap prices. The company operated the sale for many years at their 100 Armstrong Ave. location and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for our community, but had to discontinue the sale several years ago because they could not close their operations down for several days to prepare for the sale. The growing company simply had no space to set up.

This time, the sale will be held at The Old Armoury, home of Globe Productions, at 1A Park Ave., just inside the Georgetown Fairgrounds gate.

"It is an ideal spot”, says Lois Fraser. “There is lots of parking and we can take several days to prepare and a couple of days to clean up afterwards."

There will be thousands of books available. Fraser Direct estimates that they have 43 skids…more than a truckload…for sale. Thousands of books, ranging from children’s titles, to history, art, bestsellers and expensive coffee table books will be sold.  Funds will support various non-profit organizations, including the Georgetown Children’s Chorus. The choir is raising funds for their July 2017 trip to Belgium and France to honour our brave heroes on the 150th anniversary of Canada.

Come join in the fun, help our community and buy Christmas gifts  for everyone on your list!
