Auditions for “Music in the Park” July 2nd & 3rd, 2019

2019 is the third year for “Music in the Park” our annual benefit in support of The Old Armoury. It is a musical revue celebrating our shared love for musicals; the songs that capture our hearts and minds; plus the great friendships that we make as part of a community theatre family.

Audition Criteria:

  • Open to ages 16* and up. (*must be 16 as of December 31, 2019)
  • Prepare two songs from musical theatre that are well suited to your strengths and that you love to sing.
  • A pianist will be provided. Sheet music in your correct key is required. Please have it double-sided, hole punched and in a 3 ring binder.
  • Alternately accompaniment tracks will be allowed, but only for audition purposes. Amplification will be provided with input for MP3 player, iPhone, etc.
  • Due to time constraints, you will likely not get to sing your entire song, so if the best part is in the middle or end, prepare to start from just before it.
  • Check your schedule and calendars to ensure that you are able to commit to a minimum 80% of rehearsals. You will not be called for more than three rehearsals in any given week.
  • On your audition form you must provide an accurate list of conflicts for any rehearsal dates.
