Auditions for “Music in the Park”

Auditions for “Music in the Park” are being held June 21st & 22nd, 2023

“Music in the Park” is our annual benefit in support of The Old Armoury. It is a musical revue celebrating our shared love for musicals; the songs that capture our hearts and minds; plus the great friendships that we make as part of a community theatre family.

Auditions - By Appointment Only:

Wednesday, June 21 (7:00-10:00pm)
Thursday, June 22 (7:00-10:00pm)

Performances and Auditions will take place at The Old Armoury, 1A Park Avenue, Georgetown, Ontario

Audition Criteria:

• Open to ages 16* and up. (*must be 16 as of June 1, 2023)
• Prepare the best minute of two songs from musical theatre that are well suited to your strengths and that you love to sing.
• A pianist will be provided. Sheet music in your correct key is required. Please have it double-sided, hole punched and in a 3 ring binder.
• Alternately accompaniment tracks will be allowed, but only for audition purposes. Amplification will be provided with 3mm input for MP3 player, phone, etc. If needed you may bring your own bluetooth speaker.
• Due to time constraints, you will not get to sing your entire song, so if the best part is in the middle or end, prepare to start from just before it.
• Rehearsals begin July 18th. They will be held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings from 7-10pm.
• Check your schedule and calendars to ensure that you are able to commit to the rehearsals.
